Spring or Summer?

Did you miss Spring? Sometimes if you blink at the wrong time you can miss something. Did we jump straight from Winter to Summer? It certainly seemed like it over the past couple of weekends as you came to the store and took everything that could be cooked on the barbeque :- steaks, burgers, sausages, hotdogs, pork chops and chicken.

What a couple of weekends

Well two of the last three weekends have been absolutely fantastic! They have provided summer like weather and encouraged everyone to barbeque. The weather was so good that you bought all of our aged beef! Yes last week we we’re short on available beef to cut. We had plenty in the cooler but it was too young for us to cut – we have our standard of cutting those juicy dry aged BBQ steaks at 24 days and you have all been very understanding that it was just not ready to cut. It’s great that we have such knowledgeable and understanding customers and we are proud to serve you.

In other news

We’re happy to say that once again we are carrying tomatoes from Suntech. This year Suntech are also producing some mini bell and snacking peppers and we’ll be carrying those too.

We’re were providing burgers, hotdogs and pulled pork for the runners and supporters at the Manotick Road Race held on April 28th. We will also be providing these at the Manotick Public School Spring fair on May 25th and then a week later at Farley Mowat Public School on June 1st; which is also Dickinson Day!
