Beef, beef and more beef!

Time has flown by since Easter and we’re now nearing the end of April. Over the next few weeks we’ll have a feast of local beef for you. Not only will we have beef from Dan (O’Brien), Gary (Lyons) but also from Kevin Carroll and Rose Stewart.

Rose is a regular supplier to the store (Shimas) and a side will be here for the first week of May (next week). Kevin raises Angus, Limousin crosses. The side that will arrive this week will already be 24 days before it comes in, just imagine that flavor!

Outside Events

Over the last few weekends we have been out and about proving both meat and services to Cityview curling club. Over a couple of evening they managed to consume two BBQ hogs, a pile of pulled pork and over 100 100% beef patties and all beef hot dogs. We were also present at the 2nd Manotick Road Race on April 21st.

Other News

You may have noticed a couple of extra staff recently – they are Brad and James and are with us for 20 weeks and are part of the Rideau-Osgoode Youth Retail Employment Program.

The fan motor that caused the compressor to fail has been replaced – as has all of the meat that we lost during that period.
